Rachit Bhatt
Rachit Bhatt is a current 3rd-year graduate student in the School-Clinical Child Psychology program. His current research interests are in exploring the accuracy of direct and indirect assessments in diagnosing ADHD.

Erica Brecker
Erica Brecker is a fourth-year doctoral candidate in the School-Clinical Child Psychology Psy.D. program. She is currently a clinical psychology extern at Kings County Hospital, where she is completing rotations on an adolescent inpatient unit and on an inpatient unit for young adults experiencing early episodes of psychosis. Previously, she trained at Jewish Child Care Association (JCCA), a foster care agency in the Bronx, Sussex County Technical School, a vocational high school in Sparta, NJ, and Montefiore Medical Center.

Rebecca Callan
Rebecca Callan is a 4th year doctoral student in Ferkauf's Combined School-Clinical PsyD Program. She is currently a clinical extern at Mount Sinai Hospital's Division of ADHD and Related Disorders. He research examines the relationship between smartphone use, academic performance, and executive function skills among undergraduate students

Lauren Charness
Lauren Charness is a certified school psychologist who graduated from Teachers College in 2015 with an EdM in school psychology and an MA in educational psychology: schooling. Lauren has extensive experience working with children with learning and attention disorders. While working at New York State Psychiatric Institute, she conducted research with children with reading disability and children with nonverbal learning disability. Her research interests involve the relationship between learning disabilities and anxiety.

Kelsey Lacavita
Through personal and professional experiences, Kelsey has had varying roles working with many different types of people and has worked to apply non-judgment, and empathy in every situation. Some of these roles include professional and paraprofessional positions at schools, clinical settings, and hospital settings while working with a wide variety of populations. Kelsey's research interests include looking at the long term benefits of gifted education programs to maximize the benefits of participation.

Rachael Lerner: 

Rachael Lerner is a 4th year doctoral student in School-Clinical Child Psychology program. She is currently completing an externship in neuropsychology at Hackensack University Medical Center. Her research is focused on assessment of executive functioning and the differences between direct/performance-based measures and indirect/questionnaire measures of executive functioning.

Lauren Pandes  
Lauren Pandes is a 2nd year doctoral student in the School-Clinical Child Psychology Psy.D. program. She is currently a psychology extern at Joan Fenichel Therapeutic Nursery, where she is a treatment coordinator for preschool students with disabilities. Lauren is also in her second year of the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Fellowship at the Rose F. Kennedy Children's Evaluation & Rehabilitation Center (CERC) as a psychoeducational therapist for adolescents with learning disabilities with comorbid developmental or psychiatric diagnoses. Previously, Lauren earned her Master's in Professional Studies in Clinical Psychological Science at the University of Maryland and worked as a psychometrist at a private neuropsychology center in Washington, DC.

Nikita Patel's research focuses on the prevalence of mental health symptoms in adolescents who have siblings with Type 1 Diabetes

Danya Schlussel
Danya Schlussel is 2nd second year in the School-Clinical Child Psychology Psy.D. program. She is currently externing in Union City High School working with children in the special education program. Previously, Danya worked as a research coordinator for studies focused on developing drug treatments for children with autism, Prader-Willi syndrome, and Tourette syndrome.

Andrew Sickles
Andrew Sickles is a 4th year student in the Combined School-Clinical Child Psychology Doctoral Program. He is currently an extern at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Westchester Behavioral Health Center on both the Child and Adolescent Inpatient Units, specializing in anxiety and mood disorders. Previously, He externed at the Center for Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy, primarily providing psychotherapy from a CBT framework, with a specialty in treating OCD utilizing Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). In 2017, he received his Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from New York University
